BRILLIANT SCHOOL IN EDUCATIONAL SOCIAL SERVICE SO FAR..

A Trust was formed by our revered correspondent Al-Haj. A. MUHAMMED YAKUB., M.A., B.SC., B.T., (who is also being called as “Periya Sir” by all people here with utmost fond ) in the name of his beloved father Rev. “Allah Pitchai Rowther” and started to run this prestigious educational institution who consistently put forth his hard work with his profound experience in the field of education which toll to 48 years of sheer experience. We with zeal to read out the lines with colourful photos about our school which is still functioning under the guidance of our correspondent.

 

Our school at first in the name of “Brilliant English School” was started on 16^th June, 1986 in the premises of Dr. K.M. Mohamed Salihu (New street, Muthutpet) by our founder and correspondent in the presence of Ex.MLC Thiru. Sunderasa Thevar who presided over the event.

 

The strength of the school at the time of opening was only 22 students with 5 teachers which amounted to the total of 196 students by the end of the first year.

 

The institution had been shifted to the hospital building of Dr. ASNM Mohamed Dawood on 10^th Feb, 1987 as the first place was insufficient.

 

The school was successfully run by our beloved Periya sir with the dual capacities as correspondent and Principal as his two eyes.

 

Our school stepped in the year 1989-90 with pride in the name of “Brilliant Matriculation School” with 430 students and 12 teachers.

 

It was Dr. M. Meera Hussain, (the present Parent Teacher Association President) who took the prominent role in making the school known to all. It was our beloved correspondent who observed and practised education and discipline as his two eyes initiated a plan to increase the learning desire of the students and thereby used to award the stars to the children who grab the first three places in the classes.

 

As years passed, the place of the school became insufficient to accommodate the increased admissions of the students which resulted in shifting the school to our present campus on 25^th September, 1990 with 535 students and 16 teachers.

 

The present school campus land was purchased from Janab. SPKM Rahmathullah who is the brother of Janab. SPKM Amanullah. The credit should go to Thiru. M. Kalyana Sundara Thevar and Janab. M.K.N. Mohamed Maideen ( the former president of all Muhallahs) who stood with our correspondent in overcoming the hardships and difficulties at the time of owning this place(land).

 

The role of our former PTA (Parents Teacher Association) President Thiru. P.N. Panneer Selvam is also to be remembered who provided the campus in the usable form to run the school.

 

The year 1989 is a remarkable year in our school history as the school got recognised by Government of Tamil Nadu for Std.VI and recognition for all other higher standards in the subsequent years and it was also in the same year we had our library with stock of more than 500 books and a full fledged science laboratory which were all a part and parcel of the school to be in the infra structure.

 

Another new building was built by us and opened by Hon. L. Ganesan, the Legislative member of Tamil Nadu State Assembly on 25^th September, 1990 for increasing students’ strength.

 

 It was felt by our correspondent that the relevance of knowing other languages is inevitable for students for their future life and so Hindi and Arabic classes were made available for students which enhanced the language skills of them. A Dining hall was also built for the sake of children.

 

Now the school was ready to move to next level, yes.. in the year 1993, the first set of our students appeared for Public Examination (Std.X) and we secured 90% result and the shortcomings were rectified in the next year thereby we secured 95% result in Std.X. Keeping in the mind that the failures are stepping stones to success, the cent percent result in Std.X was possible for us in the year 1995-96 and it is being retained in the next years. The school first students of Std.X in the years of 1999 to 2001 were honoured with Gold Medals.

 

It was in the year 2007, we secured District first in Std.X public exam and in 2016, J. Mufeetha Furween of our school grabbed State second in Std.X which bench marked the quality of our school.

 

Next to that, computer classes have been started to cater the needs of the technology as knowledge of computer was inevitable, as felt by the correspondent. The sophisticated computer lab with LAN facility was set up.

 

The relevance of starting social movements in school was realised and so Scouts movement was started on 30^th January, 2003 with a Troop which consisted 4 Patrols and 2 Scout Masters who were our teachers who further qualified themselves to Himalayan Wood Badge (HWB) and we had 2 troops with 8 patrols in subsequent years.

 

As a result, 3 of our students were conferred with “Rajya Puraskar Award (Governor Award) in 2005-2006 and in total there are 180 students so far conferred with the same award. Our scout students with our scouter Mr. V. Venkatesh actively participated in the Cultural event (an inter-state programme) for Scouts and Guides in New Delhi.

 

More than that we have participated in so many District rallies and our students proved their skill and ability in the movement. The prestigious Scout State service award was conferred to our beloved Correspondent by the State Head Quarters of Bharath Scouts & Guides, Tamil Nadu. It was an unforgettable moment in the history of our school.

 

The law of repetition will have always some exceptions in narrating as such mentioning about correspondent who dedicated his life with his full mind for the improvement of students, education and school.

 

Our Trust (K.A. Allah Pitchai Rowther Trust) which is sponsoring our school exempted the fees for poor students and toppers and due cash awards are also given for the eligible teachers who strived a lot for giving excellent results and as such gilding the professional ethics.

 

The relevance of higher secondary classes including the strains of our children and their parents for getting admitted was felt and as a result, the +1 and +2 classes were started in the year 2013 which with two groups at first further added with another three groups and presently we do have five groups in total. As such, one more building was built for office with a provision of rooms for Correspondent, Additional Secretary, Principal and compact office with wi-fi facility which was opened by our then beloved Director of Matriculation Schools, Chennai- Mr. R.PITCHAI., M.Sc., M.Ed., which is an additional feather to the cap of our school history.

 

It was in the same year, the emerging of future ready Smart class was implemented by our beloved correspondent which marked that we were the first school in this area to have this facility.

 

One more building was built for the sake of girls ensuring the safety of the grown up girls in the year 2015.The Hygienic toilet block was also built in the same year for staffs and students with state of art facilities.

 

The relevance of involvement of next generation was felt by our correspondent who used to always think about the growth of the school even in his sleep, (It is to be noted here that the role of Principal from the inception of the school was at first taken by the correspondent who having established his dream school putting forth his hard efforts for 29 years and on account of age, he got retired from the post of principal but till now he continues to be in the capacity of correspondent) It was from the year 2014-15, the room for school management was given to his two sons (who were designated as Secretaries of the school to take the irresistible role of future correspondents) Thiru. A.M. Abdul Kadhar and Thiru. A.M. Amanullah who took the responsibility of conducting the school, supporting the school thereby taking the progress of the school to the next level with their modern approach for the further improvement of the school.

 

The elegance of the school is portrayed by having separate departments for the subjects with separate trained and experienced faculties. The additional facilities such as supply of R.O. drinking water supply, 50 KV Generator for uninterrupted power supply and surround CCTV surveillance have been made for the smooth running of the school.

 

The small quantum of damage to the school on account of Kaja Strom was renovated within 10 days with the timely help of Thiru. N.U. Sivasamy of Edaiyur who has always been a patron of our school for the growth of our school.

 

After very hard efforts, we have got our school as our own Std.X Exam Centre which will further pave way for making more progress that we are getting full-fledged status for the cause of education.

 

In total, we do have proper infra structure facilities (5 buildings =G+2, 3 Comprehensive Science Labs, 2 sophisticated computer labs ) with pleasant atmosphere with enough land facilities for future development.

 

The Co-Curricular Committee for the progress of extra curricular activities has been set up which would be a part and parcel for the all round growth of the students. The proposed “English Lab” will also start to function from next academic year 2019-20 for the sake of acquitting strong communication skills for our students.

 

We also cater the transport needs of the students as we have vans to pick up the students from fairly distant area and assuring them timely and safety drop of the children with the help of experienced drivers and cleaners.

Last but not least, the roaring success of the institution which has crossed its silver jubilee would not have been possible without the co-operation and dedicated hard work of the teaching and non-teaching staffs of the school (who worked earlier, who work presently and who will work with us in future).The School management is highly indebted to them for ever.

 

Let us all be always united with the management for more and more future achievements and to sum up being a pioneer educational institution in our area, more and more efforts for the good cause of quality education are being made with the guidance of the school management team and are striving to make the institution to be more and more better for the years to come. The blessings of the Almighty, the consistence support of the parents and public after having seen the virtual progress of the institution after so many strong and tireless efforts make us have our vision and mission of the institution getting fulfilled.

 

Let us all pray with full heart for the speedy recovery of our revered correspondent who was of ailment now getting back to normalcy in health with the grace of Almighty and continue to give his directions in the capacity of correspondent.

 

Education with care, Discipline with moral values thereby getting prosperity by the school…the verses of our school prayer song composed by Chozhanadu K.M. Nainar Mohamed which are sung by our students in our daily school prayer which are consented by the Almighty and so the present growth of our institution witnessed. We, at this juncture sincerely pray the Almighty with full heart worship for the optimal prosperity and future growth of the institution and continue to do our duty by realising our responsibilities.
